NOPD: Man slapped pregnant girlfriend, threatened her with gun

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are searching for a man accused of slapping and threatening his pregnant girlfriend.

Robie Turner, 25, is wanted for domestic aggravated assault, battery and theft. Police say the incident happened Sunday in the 1600 block of Tita Street in Algiers. 

Around 9 a.m., police say the couple got into an argument. Turner allegedly slapped the victim with an open hand and threatened her with a gun. He then allegedly took her house keys and fled the location.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for domestic aggravated assault with a firearm, battery and theft.

    Surveillance cameras captured someone opening fire at a gas station in Jasper. Police are looking for one of the people they said opened fire on Friday night, while the other is still in a hospital.
