MANDEVILLE, LA (WVUE) - People with concerns about the future of Mandeville's lakefront can get a close-up look at one developer's vision.
On Tuesday, July 28, the public's invited to City Hall to see plans for a sweeping transformation of what's now an abandoned industrial site.
Submitted by Architects Southwest of Lafayette on behalf of the property owners, Drs. Michael and Marcus Pittman, the proposed $200 million project calls for about 500 housing units, a grocery store, four restaurants, a boutique hotel, a public park, a marina and a promenade at the former Pre-Stressed Concrete Products plant just east of the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.
The public presentation on July 28 will take place at 7 p.m. before the Mandeville Planning and Zoning Commission.
