NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tuesday will be another scorcher as highs rise back to the mid to upper 90s with heat indices in the 102-108 range.
The upper high will hold its grip one more day, then start to move a bit more westward. This will allow a few more showers to develop on the eastern peripherary as a trough and front are able to slide in from the northeast.
This will allow rain chances to rise by 10 percent each day through Friday to the 50 percent range.
I am watching an elongated area of low pressure that stretches from the central Gulf back NE to off the Georgia coast. Strong upper winds will make any development very slow.
However, it looks like part of that system may slide east northeast into the area by Thursday.
