ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

An 11-year-old boy was robbed of his bicycle by a group of juveniles in St. John Parish on July 24, according to Sheriff Mike Tregre.

The incident happened on Annex drive in Reserve.

Tregre said the victim was approached by the group, who demanded his bike. When he refused, one of them threatened him with a pair of pliers, and the victim surrendered the bike.

The victim was taken to the Detective Bureau, where he was able to identify the 15-year-old suspect in a lineup.

The suspect, from LaPlace, was booked into the Assumption Youth Detention Center on one count of armed robbery. He is not being identified because of his age.
