NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We are starting to see a pattern change that will allow more showers to develop and move in over the next several days.
The stubborn upper high that has brought the hot and dry weather will shift to the west. This will allow showers and thunderstorms within disturbances to rotate in from the north and east.
Also, there is a wave of low pressure in the eastern Gulf (non tropical) that will move south and west of the area through the end of the work week putting us on the wetter side.
Highs Wednesday will be hot again in the mid to upper 90s, as temperatures will fall into the lower 90s as rain chances increase Thursday into weekend.
