KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

A tire smashed through the window of Kenner Heritage Hall Wednesday morning following a tractor-trailer accident.

The truck was traveling westbound on Rev. Wilson Drive between Felix Street and Williams Boulevard when a tire came off the trailer, according to Kenner officials.

The tire traveled across two lanes, hit a curb and bounced through a window on the east side of Heritage Hall.

“Fortunately, no other motorists or pedestrians were in the immediate area at the time of the mishap,” said Doug Dodt, Kenner’s Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.

No one was injured and damage to Heritage Hall was minimal.
