NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We can expect a few showers and thunderstorms to develop through the late afternoon and again on Thursday and Friday, but coverage is looking much more sparse than earlier forecasts.
The wave of low pressure in the eastern Gulf that originally looked like it would move south of us and increase our rain chances now appears that it will not have much of an impact. The high pressure dominating our weather will slide just a bit more to the west, but the disturbances that looked promising earlier in the week are starting to dissipate and it looks like we will miss out on our increased rain.
No major changes in the heat with highs continuing in the upper 90s and feels like temperatures in the triple digits each day where we don't see the rain.
