WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WEST VA (WVUE) -

Saints training camp got underway Thursday in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia at the Greenbrier. While practice finished with beautiful weather, it began around 9 a.m. local time with the skies opening up.

It poured on the team for about 45 minutes but the team did not miss a beat, leaving coach Sean Payton pleased after the morning session

"A little sloppy, you saw a snap on the ground, a couple dropped balls but it's kind of our game though. There really wasn't any threat of lightning so getting acclimated to it is important. Around 4:30 or so when it was raining, our first thought was we were going to be down on the lower field," Payton said. "But I was real pleased. The crew here, Terry and our guys, all these guys that have put the work in on these grass fields, you guys are out there and see it --- it's outstanding."

Eighty-four players from the 90 man roster were in action. The team will have an hour long walk through in the afternoon.

The AP preseason poll came out today, and of course Alabama is No. 1. I'm going to breakdown a few teams in my Top 25. This is the 9th year I'm doing an AP poll. Fist off, no shock, I have the Tide in the top spot. Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, doesn't matter who's at QB. Week one they play Louisville in Orlando. Right now they're only 24-point favorites. Georgia holds No. 2 in my poll. Another year of Jake Fromme under center is a great reason to have the Dawgs here. South Carolina ...more>>
