NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Saturday turned out to be a fairly pleasant day.
Highs were in the low 90s at most locations and even a couple of north shore locations started the day in the upper 60s. This was definitely the most pleasant day we've had in a while.
August is starting off pretty nicely and on track with climatology. We will see moisture begin to increase on Sunday and the real muggies should be back by the middle of the week. The increase in moisture will also bring an increase in rain chances. Tuesday we should see a few more showers and by Wednesday coverage will be back up to about 40 percent. The good news is that as the rain moves in we would see slightly less hot temperatures.
