NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are investigating two separate violent crimes on Bourbon Street Sunday morning.

A woman was stabbed with a broken bottle and an unidentified victim was shot on Bourbon Street on the morning of Aug. 2.

The stabbing occurred in the 200 block of Bourbon Street, between Bienville and Iberville around 6:04 a.m.. According to police, a 32-year-old woman in a vehicle was arguing with another driver when they shattered her car's back windshield. Both the woman and the other driver exited their vehicles and the other driver broke a bottle and threw it at the 32-year-old woman, cutting her in several places.

Only minutes later someone was shot on Bourbon Street near Esplanade Avenue. NOPD said the 30-year-old victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound and is in the hospital in stable condition. Police did not release any other details about this crime.
