Man stabbed in French Quarter after refusing to buy drugs

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are searching for two men who allegedly stabbed someone who refused to buy illegal drugs from them.

The incident occurred around 12:06 a.m. on Aug. 2. Police say a 20-year-old man was approached by two unknown black men who asked him if he wanted to buy drugs. The victim said no, according to police and an argument ensued that turned physical in the 800 block of Bourbon Street. During the fight, the suspects stabbed the victim twice and then ran down St. Anne Street towards Dauphine.

The first suspect is described as a black male with a dark brown complexion and short hair. The victim said he is in his mid-twenties, about 5'8" tall and weighs about 150-to-160 lbs. He was wearing a blue polo and jeans at the time.

The second suspect is described as a black male with a brown complexion and short, braided hair. he is in his late-twenties, about 6'1" tall and weighs about 170 lbs. He was wearing a white polo with blue or black stripes and blue jean shorts at the time.

The victim's injuries are non-life threatening.
