NOPD: Person of interest sought in Gentilly burglary

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans Police are searching for a man who may have information pertaining to a Gentilly burglary. The incident occurred Tuesday July 28th at 9 a.m. in the 5400 block of Eads Street.

Police say that responding officers arrived on scene to find the front door of a home kicked in. Officers found that several items inside the home including a flat screen television and a laptop computer, were taken.

After searching the area, police were able to locate the television and computer on the front lawn of an abandoned home, nearby. Police were also able to obtain surveillance footage from a nearby home that showed images of a man who was in the area at the time of the burglary.

Police stress that the man in the footage is not a suspect but police do want to talk to him because he may have information about the burglary.
