NABJ honors FOX 8 with award for 'The Admiral's Appointment'

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WVUE) - The National Association of Black Journalists has honored FOX 8 with a first place award for Television Feature Long Form.

The award was given to Sabrina Wilson and photographer Lance Washington for their story on the first African-American to become Chief White House Usher, Admiral Stephen Rochon, a native of New Orleans.

The story, "The Admiral's Appointment," ran in February 2014.

The award was announced over the weekend at the NABJ conference awards ceremony in Minneapolis, MN.
