Pelicans boast 21 nationally-televised games

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

With rising NBA superstar Anthony Davis, the New Orleans Pelicans will play in 21 nationally-televised games next season. The Pels tip off their 2015-2016 campaign October 27th on the road against the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors, marking a reunion for their new head coach.

Alvin Gentry helped Golden State win it all as a lead assistant before replacing Monty Williams as head coach in New Orleans. He is scheduled to receive his championship ring that night. The Pelicans will host the Warriors on Halloween night, October 31st in the home opener. 

Other notable games include the Pelicans hosting the San Antonio Spurs on November 20th, a home date with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 4th, a Christmas Day affair in Miami, tipping off at 11:00 am CST and a contest at Memphis on MLK day.
