Police arrest 19-year-old in shooting of juvenile in NOE

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD Special Operations Division on Wednesday arrested a 19-year-old in the July 27 shooting of a juvenile in New Orleans East.

Justin Briggs was booked with attempted second-degree murder and illegal discharge of a firearm. The incident took place  in the 8500 block of North I-10 Service Road. 

At approximately 6:15 p.m., Seventh District officers responding to a call of a male shot found the juvenile shot once in the back.  He was hospitalized in critical condition.

On Wednesday at 5 a.m., the SOD located and arrested Briggs at his apartment on I-10 Service Road.
