LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A 19 year old Larose man was killed in an early morning car crash in Lafourche Parish.  According to the Louisiana State Police, Cody Duet  was driving on LA 308 around 2:30 Thursday morning when the single car accident happened.

Investigators say Duet was driving a 2010 Lexus IS 250 south on LA 308, just north of the St. Charles Bypass Road.  For unknown reasons, the Lexus traveled off the right side of the roadway as it exited a left hand curve on LA 308. The car struck a ditch and rolled over.  Duet, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced dead on the scene by the Lafourche Parish Coroner's Office.  The front seat passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries

Impairment is unknown at this time, and routine toxicology tests are pending.  This crash remains under investigation.

State troopers remind drivers that Louisiana law requires every vehicle occupant, front seat and back seat, to be properly or night.
