NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - It was hot and mostly dry again Friday, but it looks like we will see a break before the weekend is out.
Today saw dew points in the 60s. That limited the amount of shower activity we were able to see develop across the area.
Rain coverage will increase to 30 percent for Saturday afternoon as the upper high pushes west and allows for a better environment for convection.
On Sunday an upper trough and weak surface low will increase rain chances, taking temperatures down into the upper 80s for some. With the upper high finally retreating, it looks like we can see more rain coverage and temperatures closer to seasonal norms going into next week.
