(WVUE) - A new study ranks the most and least educated cities in the United States.
The study, conducted by finance website WalletHub, attempts to determine where the most-educated Americans are choosing to settle. The study ranked the 150 largest U.S. metropolitan statistical areas across nine key metrics.
The nine metrics were broken into two categories; education level and quality of education and attainment gap. To view the full methodology, click here.
The study lists Ann Arbor, MI as the "most educated" city in America. Washington, DC, Madison, WI, Provo, UT, and Colorado Springs, CO round out the top five.
The percentage of graduate or professional degree holders aged 25 and older in Ann Arbor is six times higher than in Brownsville, Texas., according to the study.
Brownsville sits at the bottom of the list.
