HOUMA, LA (WVUE) -

Police are searching for a one-eyed man in connection to an armed robbery at a Houma CVS pharmacy.

The incident happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday at the drug store in the 7000 block of West Park Avenue.

Officers arriving on the scene learned that the suspect loaded vodka into a shopping buggy and rolled the cart out of the store without paying.

The suspect loaded the liquor into a silver Honda Accord where a getaway driver was waiting, according to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s deputies.

When a store employee confronted the man, officers say the suspect threatened him with a handgun.

The suspect has been described as a light-complexioned black male in his forties. Deputies say he was missing his left eye. The suspect had a beard and a medium build, officers say. He was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing with a white and red Chicago baseball cap and white shoes.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
