NOPD: Man arrested for burglarizing downtown business

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police arrested a 26-year-old man for burglarizing a downtown restaurant. Justin David Flemings was taken into custody Monday. The incident occurred at 6:30 a.m. Monday at the Catty Car Corner restaurant in 1300 block of Poydras. 

Police say that responding officers arrived and found the glass front doors to the business, broken out. A witness provided a description of the suspect to the officers and said that he was walking in the next block. 

Officers caught up with the suspect, later identified as Flemings, in the 1400 block of Poydras and took him into custody.

A witness positively identified Flemings as the man who broke into the restaurant. 

Flemings was booked with business burglary, criminal damage to property and two fugitive attachments.
