A wave of Gulf moisture surged inland over southwest Louisiana spreading eastward over us this afternoon. We expect the same situation to develop again on Thursday as a weak cold front approaches.
That front will stall and dissipate near us on Friday with lower rain chances with the weekend drying out and heating up. Way out in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Danny is struggling as it drifts to the west northwest.
The National Hurricane Center still believes he will become a hurricane by Friday before weakening under increasing wind shear once Danny moves into the Caribbean. It may not survive the wind shear and it's highly unlikely Danny will impact the United States.
