Police release sketch of Fontainebleau armed robbery suspect

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD on Thursday released a computer-generated composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with at least one armed robbery in the Fontainebleau neighborhood.

The incident took place Aug. 8 in the 7000 block of Walmsley Avenue.

At approximately 12:50 a.m., the victim was sitting on the front porch of her residence when an unknown black male armed with a small silver revolver approached and demanded her purse. The gunman took the victim's property and fled on foot toward Audubon Street.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, about 5'9" with a slim build.
