METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

A piece of the past will return when a new restaurant takes up residence in the old Houston's location in Metairie.

Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts announced plans to operate a restaurant in the location.

That same group runs Cafe' Maspero, Broussard's and eight other restaurants.

The company plans to hire Robert Hardie, the former Houston's General Manager to serve in the same capacity at the new restaurant where he will also be an owner.

In a news release, Chief Operating Officer Zeid Ammari, says Hardie "was instrumental in the great successes at that location previously, and he more than anyone knows the location and has deep connections with the community.

According to the group's restaurant, the new restaurant will be an American Bistro.

The company's new release did not indicate what the restaurant will be named or when it will open.
