Overnight shootings reported in 7th Ward, New Orleans East

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Two men arrived at a New Orleans hospital Friday morning with gunshot wounds.

They were victims of two separate shootings in New Orleans, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Officers say both men arrived at the hospital early Friday morning with non-life threatening gunshot wounds to their bodies.

One victim said he was shot in the 1800 block of Kerlerec Street in the 7th Ward. The second victim claims he was shot in the stomach somewhere in New Orleans East.

Little information is known at this time. Anyone with information on either of the incidents is asked to contact Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
