NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Three gunmen entered an Uptown restaurant Thursday night, robbing the upscale business and its patrons.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. Thursday at Patois Restaurant, located in the 6000 block of Laurel Street.

The general manager of the restaurant said three masked men busted into the business. They were pointing handguns at customers and workers. They demanded everyone get on the floor.

The gunmen proceeded to steal the belongings of between 10 and 15 people.

Witnesses estimate the armed men spent about six minutes going through the bar and cash register, then casually walked out.

There is surveillance video of the robbery. The owner says NOPD has that video, but could release it at some point.

Patois was open for lunch Friday. Workers said they would not let the scare close them down.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers at (504) 822-111.
