What used to be Hurricane Danny is now a tropical storm.
The National Hurricane Center downgraded the Atlantic's first hurricane this season to a tropical storm and expect it continue to weaken.
As of 10 a.m. Sunday morning, Danny had maximum sustained winds of 50 mph. The storm reached its peak only two days earlier when it became a Category 3 Hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph.
Due to the unpredictable nature of storms, the NHC continues to keep Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands under a tropical storm watch at this time.
