Danny is still barely holding on to tropical storm status as he approaches the northern Lesser Antilles. Wind shear may continue to weaken this system and Danny could become a Tropical Depression by tomorrow and just a remnant low later this week.
Two additional waves are moving through the far Atlantic. The environment for development is favorable. It is the time of year we expect to see the most tropical develop with the statistical peak of hurricane season on September 10th.
