Franklin: Cooler temps, less humid air

Franklin: Cooler temps, less humid air

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A few showers, around 30 percent coverage, are expected Monday as a weak cold front moves into the area.

The front should push south of the coast Monday night and bring with it less humid air. A few days this week could remain in the upper 80s, but the drier air will allow overnight lows to get a little cooler and make it feel more comfortable even during the day.

This looks to hang around into the weekend.

In the tropics, Danny weakens further as it approaches the Leeward Islands. Winds are now at 40 mph and it is expected to become a remnant low once over the Caribbean.

Just to the east of Danny, another wave it getting better developed, and this could become Erika either Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll be watching!
