NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Hunters in Louisiana get a sales tax break next month.
The Louisiana Second Amendment sales tax holiday will take place Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6.
During that time, guns, ammunition and other hunting supplies are exempt from state and local sales taxes.
The exemption applies to a variety of supplies including firearms, all ammunition, hunting apparel, and off-road vehicles designed and intended primarily for hunting. The exemption doesn't apply to golf carts, go-carts, dirt bikes, motorcycles, or other vehicles that may be legally driven on streets and highways.
