NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in the Marigny.
The robbery occurred Thursday (Aug. 27) at the intersection of Mandeville and North Rampart streets.
Police said the 38-year-old male victim was walking in the area at about 11 a.m. when he was approached from behind and punched in the head. While the victim was on the ground, the suspect, who was armed with a revolver, demanded the victim's property. The victim complied and handed the robber an unknown amount of cash, his cell phone and his keys. The robber then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'10" tall, weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and khaki pants.
