As the saying goes: All good things must come to an end.
We have seen a stretch of incredible weather for the last week of August, but warmer and muggier conditions return for the weekend.
In the tropics, Erika remains a tropical storms as it battles wind shear in the Caribbean. The latest track takes the storm more toward Florida, which is west of earlier tracks and does put more of the eastern Gulf in the margin of error. Erika still doesn't appear to threaten us though.
The storm's latest forecasted strength keeps Erika a tropical storm through the 5-day forecast if it moves over FL. Still, there is still a possibility that Erika could dissipate due to shear and mountainous terrain over islands.
