Man accused in beating, armed robbery

The NOPD is asking for the public’s help in finding a 20-year-old man wanted in an armed robbery and beating.

Police say once he is caught, Jeremiah “Bo Bo” Banks will be booked armed robbery, aggravated battery and a probation violation.

The incident occurred Aug. 25 at about 8 p.m. in the 2400 block of Conti Street. Police said Banks entered the home of a 43-year-old acquaintance and struck him repeatedly in the face with a loaded revolver. Police say Banks then robbed the victim of $13 and fled on foot. The victim was not seriously injured.
