NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Another beautiful late August day in Southeastern Louisiana! Lots of sunshine and little if any rain. However as winds have turned from the south, temperatures and humidities are on the rise for the rest of the weekend.
In the tropics, Erika has been downgraded over Hispaniola and Cuba. Strong upper winds have torn the system apart and its now a large cluster of thunderstorms that will likely bring heavy rains to southern Florida in the next couple of days.
We will keep an eye on it over the weekend for you.
