Bicyclist shot multiple times in 7th Ward Sunday morning

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting in the 7th Ward.

According to NOPD, a 17-year-old male was shot in his abdomen and arm just before 7:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Annette Street. He was riding his bicycle int he area when an unknown man produced a weapon and began firing.

Police say he was taken to a local hospital by private conveyance.

The investigation is in the very early stages, according to police, and more information will be released as soon as it is available.
