Loyola student robbed at gunpoint near campus

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A Loyola student was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night near campus.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Freret and Joseph streets.

A woman was approached by an unknown man who demanded her purse, according to a crime alert from the Tulane University Police Department. The suspect then demanded the victim to turn away from him as he fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Police have described the suspect as a clean-shaven black man with a thin build and short hair. He is approximately 5’8” to 5’10” and was last seen wearing dark pants and shirt.
