New Orleans Police search for man whose license was found in stolen car

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police are searching for a man whose drivers license was found in a stolen car. An arrest warrant for 31-year-old Brandon Davis was issued on Monday. The car was reported stolen on Sunday April 26, 2015 from the Fair Grounds parking lot in the 1700 block of Gentilly Boulevard.

Police say that on Sunday around 8:20 p.m., the stolen car was found in a driveway of a house in the 5700 block of Norland Avenue in Algiers. Detectives responded and as they were investigating, the found Davis's license on the front seat of the car. Witnesses also told police that they saw Davis driving the vehicle in the area.

After further investigation, Detective Roger Caillouet was able to obtain a warrant for Davis' arrest.

Once he is taken into custody, Davis will be charged with possession of stolen property.
