ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Foul play is not suspected after a man's body was found inside of a charred car, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
Officers say that 33-year-old Travis Adair, of Bogalusa, was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Thursday (August 27). Deputies say he was driving on a small dirt road off Louisiana Highway 21 when he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway.
The vehicle caught fire following the crash, investigators say, and Adair became trapped inside.
The St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office has listed the cause of death as asphyxia due to smoke inhalation.
