TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Attorney General James D. "Buddy" Caldwell and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards announced the arrest of a woman they say was wanted for attempting to solicit an individual to murder her husband.

Trina Annette Tyler, 39, was arrested Tuesday by the Attorney General's Fugitive Apprehension Unit (FAU) with assistance from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.

Tyler, who also goes by the aliases Trina Marshall and Trina Binford, was wanted by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office for two counts of solicitation for murder.

Additionally, she was wanted by the Texas Pardon and Parole Board for a 2012 parole violation stemming from a conviction for possession of cocaine and money laundering.

Agents with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office reached out to the Attorney General's office for help in locating and apprehending Tyler.

As a result of a fugitive investigation, investigators say Tyler was located and arrested as she attempted to escape out of the rear window of a mobile home on Silo Road, in the Village of Tangipahoa.

Tyler was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on the murder-for-hire charges.

She will ultimately be extradited to Texas where she will serve the remainder of her Texas sentence.
