Anonymous call leads to school burglary suspects' arrest

METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) - Two men have been arrested for burglarizing a Metairie school after their images were captured on surveillance video.

Andrew French, 19, and Sean Wilt, 20 were both booked with one count each of simple burglary and one count each of possession of stolen property.

Video surveillance captured the two suspects Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m. in St. Martin's Episcopal School, located in the 200 block of Gren Acres Road.

Officers say that the suspects remained inside of the school for approximately three hours.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office received an anonymous phone call, leading them to French and Wilt.

The two men turned themselves in Thursday and returned the property they had taken from the school, according to deputies.

They were later booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.
