Back in mid August we had an unusual summer front slide through that brought us drier air resulting in night time temps dipping into the upper 50s on the north shore and 60s south of Lake Pontchartrain. We were still hot during the day as summer fronts lack cooler air.
Not so with a front that arrives here late Friday into early on Saturday. This front will easily push down into the Gulf bringing not only much drier air, but cooler air too.
Nights will be back into the 50s & 60s but daytime highs stopping only in the low to mid 80s. Ahead of the front on Thursday and Friday we'll still feel summer like with several rainy periods, a small price to pay for a great feeling weekend!
