The rain is here to stay, but it should bring in cooler temps this weekend.
Two approaching cold fronts and ample moisture from the Gulf will keep rain coverage high through Friday. Once a deep upper trough is able to force a cold front through the area early Saturday, temperatures and dew points will drop.
The Fall-like weather settles in Saturday and lasts through early Monday. Highs will be in the mid 80s Friday due to the rain and clouds. Saturday highs will be in the low to mid 80s with less humidity and the sun will stick around through Sunday.
Weekend lows on the North Shore will drop Sunday and Monday nights into the upper 50s and mid to upper 60s on the South Shore. Moisture and warm air from the Gulf returns by Tuesday of next week.
