Reserve car wash burglary suspect identified

RESERVE, LA (WVUE) -

A man who was caught on camera allegedly burglarizing a car wash has been identified.

St. John the Baptist Parish sheriff's detectives said they received a tip through Crimestoppers that helped identify Harry Kennedy, 45, of New Orleans, as the suspect in the video.

Officers said the Reserve car wash was burglarized just before midnight on Aug. 28.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kennedy for criminal damage to a coin operated device and felony theft.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office TIPS line at 985-359-TIPS or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. Citizens with information about this incident that call Crimestoppers do not have to testify in court and may qualify for a cash reward.

Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
