NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A man with "WHO DAT" tattooed on his forehead, who is accused of grabbing deputies' testicles in separate incidents, was sentenced to six months in jail this week for spitting at a New Orleans judge, according to Nola.com | The Times-Picayune.

Michael Edwards, 29, of Metairie, was in court Wednesday when he tried to spit on Criminal District Court Judge Robin Pittman. He missed, but evidence was discovered on her bench.

Pittman held Edwards in contempt of court and sentenced to the maximum punishment of six months.

The judge also ordered that sheriff's deputies bind his mouth for his court appearance on Friday. Instead, he showed up with a net over his head, according to the report.

Edwards pleaded not guilty to sexual battery, a charge connected to the testicle grabbing allegation. But soon after, Edwards caused a disruption, threatened the judge and her family and had to be taken out of the courtroom.

Pittman ordered a mental health evaluation. Edward's next court date is Oct. 22.
