Rene: Picture perfect day Sunday, expect same on Monday

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

A picture perfect day across all of Louisiana for this first Saints Sunday of the season. High pressure is in control with a northerly wind flow keeping temperatures and humidity unusually low for mid-September. As high pressure drifts eastward, we will warm up starting tomorrow afternoon. But not before another cool night tonight and another gorgeous day tomorrow.

Sunday night: Clear & cool, south shore lows: low to mid 60s. North shore lows: low to mid 50s. Light winds.

Monday: Sunny and dry with highs in the low to mid 80s with east winds 8-12 mph.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy, a bit more humid with an isolated (20%) afternoon thundershower. Highs in the mid 80s. Southeasterly winds 8-12 mph.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy, more humid with an isolated (15%) afternoon thundershower. Highs in the mid 80s. Southeasterly winds 8-12 mph.

Thursday-Friday: A return to summer like weather. A mix of sun and clouds with a few afternoon thundershowers (20%). Lows in the mid 70s and highs in the mid to upper 80s.
