Police seek three persons of interest in July New Orleans East murder

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are searching for three men who are persons of interest in a New Orleans East shooting that left a 17-year-old dead and a four-year-old injured. The incident occurred Tuesday July 21, 2015, just after 2 p.m. in the 5900 block of Boeing Street. 

Police say that officers responded to a call of two males shot in front of a home. When officers arrived, they found 17-year-old Gerald Morgan suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and a four-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. Both were brought to a local hospital, where Morgan was later pronounced dead. 

Detectives investigating the case, are looking for three individuals who may have information pertaining to the shooting. One of the men has been identified as 18-year-old Sterling Lewis.
