Man shot, killed in Gentilly Saturday morning

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A 22-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Gentilly.

According to NOPD, police received the call of a man down in the backyard of a residence in the 1600 block of Mirabeau Avenue around 12:05 a.m. on Sept. 19. When officers arrived they found a 22-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He died on the scene.

Detectives believe the victim ran and collapsed in the yard after he was shot in the 1700 block of King Drive.
