Tulane overcomes slow start, cruises past Maine

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Tulane got off to a slow start in the first quarter, but poured it on afterwards, cruising past Maine 38-7 Saturday night at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans. 

The Green Wave (1-2) were led by Dontrell Hilliard who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries. Tanner Lee finished 16-of-27 for 277 yards and one score. 

Micah Wright led the Black Bears (0-2) with eight receptions for 107 yards. Dan Collins scored Maine's lone touchdown on the night with a five-yard run in the first quarter. 

Tulane returns to action on Saturday October 3rd, playing host to Central Florida.
