Police: Man gives up some items, steals others from store

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are asking for help finding a man wanted for shoplifting.

They say the incident took place on Aug. 21 when the man walked into the Walgreen's Drug store in the 4000 block of Canal Street. Police say he walked down various isles and was seen picking up numerous items and placing them in his shirt.

The clerk confronted the suspect and recovered several electric toothbrushes. The clerk told police the man then ran from the store with other items.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the man. Anyone who can help find him is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.

    Penn State Point guard Tony Carr is the newest member of the New Orleans Pelicans. The team drafted him in the second round with 51st overall pick. Carr  is 6'5 and averaged 19.6 points and 5.0 assists per game last season. He shot 43.3% from three-point range as well. Carr played two seasons for the Nittany Lions. Carr is considered a bigger point guard with a quality mid-range game. The Pelicans did not have a first round pick after trading it away during the season for ...

    Saints players now know when they'll return from their summer break. Veterans will report on July 25th. Rookies will report July 18th. Training camp will once again be at the team facility in Metairie. In years past, practices began one day after veterans report though no official schedule has been released.
