Water pressure to drop in Gentilly, Uptown, Quarter, Warehouse District

People in parts of Gentilly, Uptown, the French Quarter and the Warehouse District will experience a drop in water pressure.

Water pressure will drop in the Uptown area, French Quarter and Warehouse District Monday at 9 p.m. The pressure will remain low while Sewerage & Water Board crews repair two water mains. Water service is expected to return to normal by 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Motorists are advised that a left turn onto Earhart Boulevard from S. Claiborne Avenue will not be allowed while work is in progress.
   
On Wednesday, residents and businesses on Robert E. Lee Boulevard between St. Bernard Avenue and Cartier Avenue will experience low water pressure because work crews will perform a tie-in of a new water line late services the area. Expect water pressure in the area to be low from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
