NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Attorneys for co-defendants of former Saints player Darren Sharper head to federal court on Tuesday.

Erick Nunez and former St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Licciardi want the judge to hear their cases separately.

Both face state and federal charges accusing them of drugging and raping women with Sharper. Nunez and Licciardi entered not guilty pleas on all charges.

Both are set to go on trial in October.

This all stems from a plea deal Sharper took, agreeing to serve nine years in prison after being accused of drugging and raping women.
